Sorry for the BIG lapse in posts, but we've been keeping ourselves busy up here!
Maddie is now 23.5 pounds, I'm not sure how tall, though. She's definitely growing taller by the week! Dropping her off at daycare is no longer a tearful event, though she still clings to me like a monkey when we enter her classroom. Once she realizes that she knows the teachers and kids, she runs around and plays. She's still a great eater, even though she only has her 8 front teeth.
She can sign the following words: Daddy, Baby, Eat, Milk, Cheese, Cracker, Potty, Wash Hands, Dog, Fish, More, Again, Please, All Done, Thank You, and Help. She speaks less than she signs, but that's kind of typical. There's a lot of toddler psychobabble, too, which I can't decipher yet. Nor do I think I ever will.
She is very into Thomas the Train, only because that's all we seem to ever watch on TV due to her Kuya Alex being such a fan. She even makes engine noises when she plays with the trains, and makes all her Lego towers into the Cranky the Crane character, complete with rotating jib.
She's been having a run of ear infections over the last several months, prompting a referral to an ENT specialist. That appointment is this tuesday. We expect to hear a recommendation for tube placement in her ears. Will keep you posted about that.
That's about it, thanks for checking in!
