Wow, I can't believe she's already 10 weeks old!
She's been a funny kiddo lately. She behaved perfectly when Aaron and I went out to dinner for our anniversary last thursday. We picked her up from daycare on the way to the restaurant, and she fell asleep in the car, stayed asleep in the restaurant, and woke up as we were pulling into our neighborhood. Worked wonderfully for us!
Today she's been a bit of a crybaby. Her naps were shorter than usual, and she would wake up with a stuffy nose. I'd bulb suction some clear snot from one nostril, then she'd be a happier camper. Then she'd start to fuss while eating. I have a theory that the fussy eating has something to do with my hormones, because my supply has dipped a little, too. I've been eating oatmeal and drinking beer (whoohoo!) to build my supply. Not sure if it's actually working, but it sure helps me take a nap after lunch when Maddie does!
She's still on a 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hour schedule, and taking 1.5 to 2 hour naps (except on fussy days like today). A couple weeks ago, her morning nap was a joke and her afternoon nap was fantastic. Now they're flip-flopped, which is fine. I know her sleep cycles are going to be dynamic during these weeks, so I'll just have to keep an eye on her sleepy cues. She tolerates wakeful periods of about 45-50 minutes, and gets cranky if she's kept up for longer than 60 minutes. I'm hoping to start taking morning walks after her first (6am) feeding, so we'll see if that causes a disruption in her napping, or helps her ease into naptime better.
Here's some pics from today. This first one was this afternoon. She had a horrible afternoon nap, so her eyes are a little droopy. But at least she was smiling at me. And her nostrils are a little swollen from me suctioning the snot out of them while she shook her head in protest. Oh, and check out how big my teeth look! It looks like I've got pieces of Chiclets gum tucked under my lip!

Aaron noticed that the hair on the sides of her head is growing slower than the big-bodied swatch of cowlicked unruliness on the top of her head. So he decided to style it for her into a fauxhawk. Nice, Daddy, nice...

Love that pout!
