Whew, another couple weeks flown by! Maddie was visited by her Auntie Stacey from Seattle and Auntie Faye from Texarkana last weekend. They, along with Auntie Crystal, watched Maddie when I worked on Saturday because Daddy had duty all Saturday until Sunday morning. It was three women and a baby! Maddie got lots of love that day!
Maddie has been a good baby lately. The first two weeks of her life, she was either sleeping or screaming. I cut my dairy intake to almost nothing, and that made her a happier child while awake. Naptimes were hit and miss most of the time, until I read the books "Baby Wise" and "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child". Now she's (mostly) on a schedule, and taking (some) good 2-hour naps during the day. Of course, as I type this, she's fussing in the next room, fighting her afternoon nap that she woke up halfway through (for you Baby Wise followers, the "45-minute intruder" has found it's way to Maddie). So really, we're still a bit hit and miss, just more hit, and less miss.
Last week, she miraculously slept from 8pm to 4am. I didn't know what to do with myself, I kept waking every three hours to silence! Unfortunately, that was the only 8-hour stretch we've had. But she'll go about 5-6 hours before squawking for a diaper change at night. The sleep schedule has made her a much happier, bubblier baby when she is awake. Still trying to catch that big smile on camera, though! Whenever I try to take her photo, she either gets really serious, or just goes into hysterics.
Anyhoo, I know y'all probably just want photos without all these words, so here you go...

Talking to herself in the pack n play:
Laughing and cooing at her Aunties after a diaper change:
I really like this shirt, it goes with just about any of her gDiapers, but she's starting to outgrow it. See what I mean about the serious look she gives me at photo shoots?
Thanks for checking in! I know a lot of you have been having problems trying to leave comments. I don't know if that's something I can fix. I miss reading people's comments! So feel free to email your comments to me directly!

ReplyDeletehey yeah! It let me comment!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I just realized that the burp cloth under her shoulders in the last photo make it look like she has wings!
