Growing

I brought Maddie to daycare after being gone (in Jacksonville) for two and a half weeks. They were suprised how much she had grown in that amount of time. One of her teachers was betting she would be walking when she returned. She may not be walking, but she's starting to stand independently for a few seconds at a time before grabbing something for support or plopping down on her rear end. So I imagine that walking isn't too far away...yikes! I'll try to grab a shot of her standing, but it happens so quick. Even if I have the camera in hand and ready to snap, it's already over.
Aaron and I did a very rough measurement of her last weekend and she was almost 27 inches, and weighed 21.5 pounds. Amazing.
She's communicating (as much as a 10 month old can be expected to communicate) more, too. Before, she would just say "uh-oh" willy nilly, without any reason. Now, she'll say it after she drops something on the floor. A couple weeks ago, she began shaking her head when she didn't want any more food. Now, if she hears somebody say "no" she starts shaking her head. It's cute.
These photos don't really show how much she's grown, but I like trying to capture her dimples on camera. You can see who she gets them from :)
