Terrifically Tacky

Maddy's day care is having a "Spring Fling Festival" this week, and it kicks off with a mini-parade of sorts in front of the building. The teachers sent the kids home last week with paper bowls and plates that were stapled together to make hats for us to decorate however we wanted; they'll wear them in the little parade. I'll use any excuse to break out my scrapbooking tools, and Maddy was more than happy to fingerpaint with my special acrylic paints. She even helped me turn the handle on the die-cutter to make the flowers. While the finished product isn't fancy enough for Easter Sunday, I think it's wacky enough for a day care party. And if she doesn't rip it to pieces, then she can wear it as we watch the footage of the royal wedding later this month.






Of course, later I'll post photos of her wearing it in the parade!
