The baby-gaga.com update:
Your not-so-little-one is just a bit closer to their birth weight and height at around 4 pounds and 17 inches. With each added layer of baby fat, your baby's skin starts to look more and more like it will when they finally get to see the light of day. The heavy news: you can expect your miracle-gro muffin to gain about a half a pound of weight per week from now until about two weeks before birth. Great. That's just what you needed. Even more weight to carry around! Their cute little noggin’ (which could already be covered with luscious locks or just purty peach fuzz), is still soft because the skull bones have not yet fused together. As much as that sounds a little too vulnerable, their “skull softness” allows for a much smoother passage through the birth canal during labor—something both you and your little swimmer will appreciate when it’s finally time to “go!” Also, some babies will have that “soft spot” on their head for up to one year after birth.
And here's my growing belly. I compared my belly to other preggos who were walking around at the consignment event I went to last friday, and I think I'm carrying low. They all had those jutting "torpedo" bellies. I'm actually pretty glad that I'm carrying the way I am. I just hope that it doesn't get too uncomfortable when she settles further into my pelvis later on.
I'm in denial that my wedding ring may have to get stored away because of my hands swelling lately. My right hand is more swollen than my left, especially in the mornings, because I sleep on my right side mostly. I have a looser, plain band to wear instead, but I'm just not ready to part with my pretty rings yet!
Thanks for stopping by!
I don't blame you for not wanting to wear your wedding rings. I will say, I was lucky that I didn't swell too bad with both kids. Hope you are doing well with the heat otherwise. Thank goodness for AC, eh?? I love you!!
