Tumultuous

That's the only word I can come up with for this week. No tumult for Maddie, it's just our family had some lows and highs this week.

Madelyn's Nana (Aaron's stepmother) passed away on Sunday. Aaron is in Missouri with his father this week. May she have eternal rest and perpetual light shine upon her.

A couple days later, we were blessed with a new niece, Ashley. Her parents are Aaron's brother and sister-in-law who live in Jacksonville. We hope to meet her in a couple weeks at Thanksgiving. We haven't seen any photos yet, but I'm confident she's a cutie.

Maddie and I are hanging in there on our own. She had some "school pictures" taken at daycare today. She didn't really smile very big in any of them since it was getting close to naptime, so we'll see if they're even worth purchasing.
