Cowlick

I love playing with this little swatch of hair. It's so unruly. Every morning, I put a damp washcloth over her head in an effort to tame it down. But it just pops right back up in the air as soon as the hair dries. I wish I could put a barrette back there without it poking her when I lay her down.

That was taken during a nap the other day. Some of you know that we didn't want to use a pacifier, but as you can see, that didn't work out. We were successful at not introducing the pacifier until she was one month old, though. I figured that even if I hadn't given her one, the daycare would suggest that I give her one. I can't expect them to listen to her squawking while trying to look after 7 other infants.

I look forward to her hair getting longer, and I can pull it into little pigtails at the top of her head and disguise that cowlick!
