Pierced ears!

Before anybody gets ticked off at me for piercing her ears so early, I'll have you know that my ears were pierced when I was only a few weeks old, and I thank my mother very much for not letting me wait until I was older to do so! And no, it's not a "Filipino thing" to do. Just a personal choice. Aaron was glad to have it done so we could stop answering the silly "Is your baby a girl or a boy?" questions.
She did well during the piercing. She got mad briefly, and rightly so, since she didn't take that great of a nap before we went out to get it done. But for being a bit tired, she didn't scream, moan, or wail for all that long. I had taken her to a place in the mall where the associates planned on doing a tandem piercing, with one associate on each side of her to minimize the pain and get both ears done at the same time. But Maddie freaked out a little bit to be crowded by so many people (I was holding her in my lap). So I told them just to do one ear at a time, which in my opinion, was probably the best thing to do, so that one associate does both ears and knows exactly what angle she held the piercing gun at for the other ear. They came out very nice and even. It was pretty funny when the associate asked me to look at the ink dots she placed on Maddie's ear lobes to mark the placement, because Maddie's cheeks are so chubby, they got in the way of my view of her ears!
They don't seem to bother her at all when we clean them 2-3 times a day. She looks so cute with them, and so girly. Who knew she could get any more adorable?!
