Another week is upon us! Time is flying, and she is growing stronger and stronger each day. She's still bossy when it comes to mealtime, it's like she knows I'm hungry before I do! Here's my belly in my messy office, notice the last few cardboard boxes behind me:

Here's our babycenter.com update:
Baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts her at just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), she cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world. Her skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.I also read somewhere that Rapid Eye Movement (REM) has been noted around this time (as early as 18wks), so I wonder if she's dreaming of our voices, or anything at all. Yesterday, with all the unpacking we were doing, Aaron and I both kept sneezing at the dust that we were kicking up from the boxes. She would startle every time one of us sneezed. Sorry, kiddo!
In non-pregnancy news, I've been going wild on Craigslist, listing lots of items for sale. I've also found out that a lot of people on Craigslist are very flaky. I get emails from prospective buyers, saying they'll call me when they plan to come pick something up, but then they never call. I never give my address out, I just tell them what major intersection we're close to, then make them call for the address only when they're close to the intersection. That way I know they truly intend to make a sales transaction. I've sold a TV, snowboard and bookshelf so far today.
Thanks for popping in!
p.s. - If you really wanted to see a bare belly shot, I have it in the pikistrip at the bottom of the blog.
Did you sell that headboard :)
