Ugh...unpacking!

Well, last wednesday's appointment wasn't much to blog about (obviously). It was just a simple nurse visit to let me know which doctor I'd be seeing, what to expect at USNH Pensacola, where everything is in the hospital, and then off to the lab to give a routine CBC and urine culture. The nurse asked me what kind of nurse I was, and I told her L&D, but she apparently forgot what I said, because she kept telling me things then turning to Aaron to say "I know that YOU know this, but I want to make sure SHE does, too." Oh well. At least I know I'm getting the same information that everybody else gets, albeit redundant knowledge.

I'm automatically enrolled in Family Practice, which isn't always the best at OB care, but since I'm overall pretty healthy and without any risk factors, I'll stick with FP and not overload the OB Clinic with clients. I do miss our OB providers we had in Yokosuka, though. I kind of pouted at the fact that I wouldn't have a midwife for prenatal care. We'll see how I jive with this FP doc. I have an appointment with him on tuesday.

Last thursday was a big day: our household goods shipment from Japan finally arrived. Whew, it was a lot of stuff! Don't worry, Aaron's doing all the heavy lifting. I feel bad asking him to move something for me all the time, but these boxes are heavy! I honestly don't want to touch another cardboard box, but all my scrapbook stuff is still packed away until my new scrapbook desk/armoire arrives. Here's what our house has looked like since thursday, and what we have to look forward do this weekend:
Doesn't Aaron look so happy? Um...yeah, right. We were so surprised at all the stuff we had, considering that we had sold so many items, donated several loads, and flat out trashed some other things prior to leaving Japan. I'll have to do some more Craigslisting again.

I'll spare you any more whining and give you an actual baby update since, after all, this is a baby blog. She's getting stronger every day. Even as I type this, I can see my t-shirt "popping" over wherever she kicks. She didn't wake me up this morning, however she kept me from going back to sleep when I got up for my 4am potty break. It's now 6am, so there's no use trying to go back to bed. I forsee an afternoon nap in my future.

She also has a place to nap once she's here, now that the first installment of Grandpa Myers' present has arrived: her crib mattress. Thank you Grandpa!
