Yesterday was my first doctor's appointment at this new hospital. It went really well. The doctor was very open to any and all questions. Baby is measuring appropriately, and her heart rate was in the 130's with a regular rhythm. Aaron missed out on this appointment because even though I told the corpsmen that it was okay to bring my husband back to my exam room when he arrived late, that message was not relayed to the front check-in desk. So in keeping with the laws of HIPAA, Aaron was not allowed by the front desk staff to come to my exam room, nor could they even acknowledge to him that I indeed had an appointment there. Arg. Partly my fault, really. I was so concentrated on running to the bathroom to empty my bladder after I checked in, that I didn't tell the secretary about Aaron showing up. But I had figured that Aaron would join me while I was still in the waiting area before my appointment, so the secretary wouldn't need to worry about it. Guess I need to work on my contingency plans better. Even Aaron is on Filipino time, once in a while!
In non-pregnancy news, I'm very, VERY excited for this afternoon. FedEx is bringing my new Scrapbox Workbox to our front door today! They called me yesterday to make sure I'd be home this afternoon to accept delivery. Yay! My craft supplies will finally have a home, instead of sitting in these cardboard boxes.
Once those cardboard boxes are out of the nursery, then I can actually work on the nursery! I'm waiting for one accessory piece of bedding to come in the mail so I can bring it to the paint store for color coordinating. Right now the room is an olive color from the previous owner.
