Like I said before, I'm not truly 28 weeks until tomorrow, but close enough for a 28-week visit on Friday. The visit was quick, since I haven't been feeling any cramping or other complications. My 1-hour glucose came back at 134, which is below the 140 mg/dL cut-off, so no gestational diabetes risk for me. I think I've been doing really well at eating healthy. Thankfully, I've had no weird cravings. The stuff I crave most is fresh fruit, which is great. Don't get me wrong, I still have the occasional scoop of ice cream once a week, and the only cookies I eat have whole grains and flax seed. As long as we don't keep bad stuff in the pantry, we eat fairly healthy.
Off-topic, I asked my doctor for his opinion of the military child care center down the street from the hospital. He said that his children are enrolled there and he gave it good reviews. After our visit, Aaron and I drove over there to pick up forms to register kiddo for drop-in care. I hope to find at least three facilities that accept drop-in care. Most places are either full-time or drop-in care, no part-time. Which is fine, just an expected hurdle of parenthood. It just means I'll be on the phone every week arranging care for the following week.
See you tomorrow for the 28 week photo/update, and some photos of the nursery with the furniture set up!
Can't wait to see the photos with the furniture. I can start shopping around for matching toys, pillows and tchokes!
ReplyDeleteDid you see the sale West Elm is having on rugs? I thought of you...some of the stuff they have on sale would be perfect in the nursery.
