We found a wonderful shade of cream/ivory that has a faint hint of blush in it. When it's next to something pink, it looks even pinker. When it's next to something brown, it looks even richer and creamier. It's perfect, exactly what we were looking for. The previous shade of the room was somewhere between olive and dark khaki, so it has made for lots of coats of primer and paint. I even had to run to Lowe's for a second gallon of paint. (Thanks, Art and Keri, for the Lowe's gift card for Christmas, BTW!)
Here's a photo of Aaron working on the ladder:

That's the old color behind him and the new color right next to him. I have to take some photos of how the color looks in different lighting throughout the day, so you can see how the color "evolves" from morning to evening. Beautiful!
LOVE it. Can't wait to see it done...keep working Aaron.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to come out later in the year to see everything and meet the new addition!! Your belly is just adorable. Thank you for keeping all of us updated.
ReplyDeleteWow, the color is beautiful! Love it...it's a wonderful visual trick and the lil' girl will love to look at it change as the sun moves through the day. So soothing and exciting at the same time. Can we see the room finished in morning light?
