Do they make walk-in closets for babies?

I have found the penny-pincher's answer to buying baby clothes and gear: consignment sales. Here in Pensacola, there are very few consignment stores that feature baby products. Their answer? Consignment EVENTS! I've found out about three separate organizations that arrange twice-yearly consignment events. Baby clothes are super cheap, I bought entire outfits for $1-$3, and most of them offer 50% off on the last day of the sale. There's a huge one coming up at the fairgrounds in March.I didn't go too crazy, though. That's because my mother, who I get my bargain-hunting genes from, also loves buying stuff for baby at the best prices. The FedEx truck dropped off this load of goodies from my mom to us the other day:
So, it would seem she's pretty much set for clothes, though I know that leaky diapers and spit-up episodes always warrant yet another change of clothes. Keeping that in mind, I have no doubt she will probably wear most of these items! I've gotta get more hangers!

  1. ok, I know I am weird, but I really wish I were there. I want to wash clothes and fold them/hang them/organize them for the little one. I want to play decorate the nursery...and I NEED to see the scrapbox in person. How do you have it all organized?
